John Hine- Healed by Jesus and Now an Intercessor

Forwarded email from Joe & Kristie Martin <[email protected]>

(Modified from its original posting after additional clarification was received.)

Remember that John Hine was healed in Lubbock, TX in 1988 of severe brain damage, lung damage, and a blood disorder. He asked Our Lady to go to Jesus to get him more time because John has 4 sons who fell away from the Church and John wanted the time to get them back. John was cured!!! His healing was a class A healing, that is the best documented healing known, it is all documented. John does not get many public messages, he does get some private ones though. There have been many healings through John's intercession. If you have need to prayers from John, send me a message to [email protected]. They will be back on Sunday afternoon. If you have something to me by then, I will read them to him and ask his prayer for you.

Why am I telling you about John Hine now, because I want you to know what Our Lady told John when he first saw Her. This was in their home a couple of months after the healing. She appeared with a Rosary in Her hands, and said "Go tell the people to pray, pray, pray, especially the Holy Rosary, for what is to come." John said that he asked her what is coming, and She wouldn't tell him. She said that "it is not for you to know, it is better that you don't know" then She said "Pray, don't worry". She also told him that those who prayed, She'd protect, and those that didn't, ............. (there was silence).

Pope wraps up Mexico trip, declaring 'I feel Mexican!'

(Reprint of story dated 1/25/99)

Before an overjoyed crowd of more than 100,000 followers Monday night, Pope John Paul II called on Christians across Latin America to reaffirm their faith to make the world at the start of the new millennium a safer and more peaceful one.

From the archives:

Father Don Stefano Gobbi's message from Our Lady, December 5,1994 (paragraphs H and I):

"You have seen, my little son, with what enthusiasm I am loved,be sought and glorified by all these Mexican children of mine. For this reason, my great victory against all the masonic and forces will begin from here, for the greatest triumph of my Son Jesus.

I confirm to you that, by the great jubilee of the year two thousand, there will take place the triumph of my Immaculate Heart, of which I foretold you at Fatima, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory, to establish his Reign in the world. Thus you will at last be able to see with your own eyes the new heavens and the new earth."

Pope arrives in St. Louis and warns of 'time of testing'

Pope John Paul II arrived in the heartland Tuesday for a 30-hour visit and likened the battle over abortion and euthanasia in America to the bitter legal clash over slavery on the eve of the Civil War.

The pontiff also warned that the country had entered a new and important "time of testing" that could affect the entire world in the next century.

''Today,'' the pope went on, ''the conflict is between a culture that affirms, cherishes, and celebrates the gift of life, and a culture that seeks to declare entire groups of human beings - the unborn, the terminally ill, the handicapped, and others considered `unuseful' - to be outside the boundaries of legal protection.''

Christian missionary, young sons burned to death in India

Five militant Hindus have been arrested for allegedly burning to death an Australian Christian missionary and his two young sons as they slept in their vehicle early Saturday morning.

Graham Stewart Stains, 58, secretary of the New Delhi-based Evangelical Missionary Society, and his sons, Philip, 10, and Timothy, 8, died after a crowd of more than 30 people doused their vehicle with kerosene and set it ablaze outside a makeshift church in the town of Manoharpur in the eastern state of Orissa, according to police and witnesses.

Another Word of hope from Jim Bramlett

My wife, Yolly, got up very early this morning to pray and read the Bible. Later, as soon as I got up, she shared this thought with me, I believe from the Holy Spirit...

"God is allowing us to experience such evil, deception and injustice now in this world so that we will long to go home -- to be with Him in our heavenly home."

I have heard that same idea expressed in different ways by many Christians in the past 2-3 years. Along with the many signs of the Lord's soon return and the end of the age, this must be God's way to create in us an actual intense desire to experience what is coming -- and Him. He is preparing our hearts.

In the book Yolly is reading, "In the Grip of Grace," Max Lucado tells about when he traveled to the Midwest to pick up his two daughters at summer camp, to take them home. Due to camp restrictions, he could not see them until 5 p.m. A rope blocked the road. But when the rope finally came down, Max actually ran to see the girls. He says, "God feels the same. God is ready to see His own. He, too, is separated from his children. He, too, will do whatever is necessary to take them home."

We now find ourselves in the midst of imperfection, sin and corruption, in a fallen race, but not far ahead we can see perfection, and the presence of Him who loved us, and died for us. O happy day!

Hang on! "For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry " (Hebrews 10:37).

The Alan Guttmacher Institute claimed that 38 percent of all pregnancies are unplanned and said 22 percent of the 210 million unborn children in the world each year are aborted. The report said 26 million women, or 35 of every 1,000 women, have an abortion every year.

A World Apart- Celebrating Life in Christ

A young couple, Darrell and Liz, just recently joined Campus Crusade for Christ staff as missionaries, abandoning a bright career in the U.S. Marine Corps. Evidence of Darrell's sharpness is that he was part of the Presidential Honor Guard, a group of very carefully hand-picked Marines.

Yesterday, Liz began labor to deliver her first baby. Many hours went by. Dangerous complications developed. Still in labor after 30 hours. Suddenly, the baby's heart rate dropped dramatically, from 140 to 50. Then they totally lost the heartbeat. Knowing that only prayer would save the baby, several of us gathered for intercession, storming the gates of heaven. Darrell and many others were praying fervently. We prayed about 20 minutes then went back to work, believing God.

Only about ten minutes later we were notified that the heartbeat returned, normalized, and everything looked good. Incredible timing!

After 36 hours of labor the baby was born. Joshua is still in ICU due to a minor lung inflation problem, but the prognosis is excellent and the doctors are confident. THE VERY NEXT DAY, THIS AFTERNOON, THE NEW MOTHER SHOWED UP IN PERSON AT THE OFFICE!! With the new dad, all of us had a big "praise the Lord session."

God really did a miracle!!! But then, we serve a God of miracles! Praise HIS name!

Pope opens week of prayer for Christian unity

The annual week of prayer for Christian unity was at the top of the agenda when Pope John Paul II addresses his regular Sunday audience on January 17.

After praying the Angelus with the pilgrims in St. Peter's Square, the Holy Father reminded his listeners that every baptized Christian is called by God to contribute to "the mystery of communion which is the Church." That communion, he said, "will be manifest at the end of time, but is already present in our history."

(Rev 7:9-10) After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

Muslims Demonstrate Vs. Israel, US

Several million Muslims held rallies across Iran and in Arab capitals Friday to protest Israel's continued hold on Jerusalem, the city where Muslims believe Prophet Mohammed began his journey to heaven.

The demonstrations for ``Al-Quds Day'' -- Al-Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem -- also spilled over into anti-American protests because of U.S. support for Israel.

By far the largest demonstrations were held in Iran, where more than three million people turned out for rallies held in conjunction with Friday prayers in the major cities. In the capital of Tehran, hundreds of thousands attended a rally, chanting anti-Israel slogans and burning Israeli flags.

But the 27-year-old science teacher was dispensing more than just friendly advice on the Internet. Nawaki Hashimoto was peddling cyanide pills to suicidal Japanese.

The Internet cyanide case has alarmed Japanese and sparked a debate over whether potentially harmful information in cyberspace, such as the proliferating sites on how to commit suicide, should be kept in check.

A search for "suicide" on a typical Japanese Internet engine turns up more than 20,000 hits. Many sites offer counseling to help prevent desperate people from killing themselves, but scores of others offer guidance on how to end one's life.

Real-life X-File? Computer pioneer quits to chase UFOs

Joe Firmage, who at the age of 28 has made not one but two mega-fortunes as a computer pioneer in California's Silicon Valley, has quit the $2 billion company he helped found to promote what he calls ``the most important news event in 2000 years'' -- his belief that many of today's scientific advances came from space aliens.

``Because I believe so much in this theory. And I am in a unique position to communicate an extremely important message. I have the money, credibility, scientific grounding, and faith.''

Firmage has already laid the groundwork for a campaign to publicize his UFO beliefs. He has set up the International Space Science Organization to promote his views, sunk $3 million into an endeavor dubbed ``Project Kairos'' aimed at preparing humanity for alien contact, and posted a 600-page manifesto, entitled ``The Truth'', on his website.

UFO RELIGIOUS CULT PUSHING FORWARD WITH HUMAN CLONING

The London Times reported that the Raelian UFO cult is trying to push forward advances in cloning technology with the goal of cloning humans, banned in 19 countries, for childless and gay couples by the year 2000.

The cult, founded by a French sports journalist Claude Vorilhon in the 1970s, is based in Canada. Vorilhon, who changed his name to Rael, claims that aliens visited him in 1973 to reveal the role of cloning as a "gateway to eternity." His cult has since built a UFO theme park outside Montreal. The Times report said, "For $200,000 (£123,000) per baby, a company called Clonaid is offering to produce genetic twins of adult parents for infertile and couples, and is predicting success by 2000.

Its founders would doubtless have been dismissed by mainstream science as delusionary, but for one thing: they are completely serious. Dr. Brigitte Boisselier, scientific director of Clonaid and a bishop in the so-called Raelian religion...holds that life on Earth was created 25,000 years ago with DNA imported by aliens. Dr. Boisselier has chemistry doctorates from universities in Dijon and Houston and is at pains to distinguish between her scientific and religious beliefs. "I'm a scientist and very pragmatic even if I do believe in little green men," she told The Times.

Vatican missionary service says Chinese police tortured priest

A Roman Catholic priest in China was arrested, imprisoned and tortured by police - including by female agents who sexually assaulted him - the Vatican missionary news service said Monday.

The director of  the news agency Fides, the Rev. Bernardo Cervellera, said Li's case appears to represent a resurgence of the tactics of China's brutal Cultural Revolution, when priests were forced to marry.

China's underground church, to which Li belongs, remains loyal to the Vatican and rejects the state-approved Catholic church, autonomous from Rome, that was set up by the Chinese government in the 1950s.

Scientists copy evolution in quest to create life

Researchers in dozens of laboratories around the world are struggling to create rudimentary forms of life in a test tube. Their hope is to evolve biological structures that will be able to survive, grow and reproduce on their own -- without human or divine intervention.

``We are going into the laboratory and playing God,'' said David Morrison, space director at NASA's Ames Research Center in Mountain View, Calif., which is coordinating the search for life on other worlds.

Indian Christians to carry on despite attacks

Every day hundreds of Christian missionaries visit India's poor in remote pockets, bringing food and medicine and other basic necessities.

But their activities have ignited violence on an unprecedented scale in recent months, sending shivers of terror through their community.  Churches have been burned and nuns raped as a small but dedicated fringe of Hindu activists accuse missionaries of seeking forcible religious conversions.

However, church leaders say they will brave the attacks and have no plans to stop their work for those who need it.

The end of the world as we know it and we feel fine

Americans overwhelmingly believe the world, as we know it, will come to a sudden and apocalyptic end as predicted in the Bible.

But despite the predictions of doomsday cults fixated on the coming of a new millennium, Americans don't think the world is going to end soon, according to a poll of 1,027 adults conducted by Scripps Howard News Service and Ohio University.

The poll found that the relatively small number of Americans who believe the millennium could bring an apocalypse are more concentrated among young adults, people who have not completed a high school education, people in very low-income households, and among churchgoers who believe they are spiritually "born again."

Pope John Paul II was runner-up, named by 7 percent.

The Philokalia excerpt: St. Mark the Ascetic "No Righteousness By Works"

46.  Voluntary affliction in one of these parts of our nature benefits the other: to suffer affliction with the mind benefits the flesh, and to suffer it with the flesh benefits the mind.  When our mind and flesh are not in union, our state deteriorates.
